LEO the Coton de Tulear Goes Home to Yeongdeungpo | 꼬똥드툴레아 분양
September 8, 2026 — a family drove all the way up from Yeongdeungpo to meet a small white Coton de Tulear named LEO, and then took him home.
They came out to us in person, met him, held him, asked all the right questions. That is always the best way to do this, and we are grateful they made the trip.
From baby fluff to a cotton coat
Coton is French for cotton, and the breed is named for that coat. Puppies do not start out with it, though. Early on LEO was covered in fine, downy baby fur — closer to a dandelion than a dog.
All head, all paws, ears still deciding which way to point. The carrot was a hit.
Then week by week the down grows longer and softer, until it becomes the coat Cotons are known for — long, loose and cottony, and famously light on shedding.

What a Coton de Tulear is like to live with
- A soft, cotton-like coat that sheds very little — one of the main reasons families ask about the breed
- Gentle and people-oriented; they will follow you from room to room
- Small but sturdy, and usually easy with children and other dogs
- A bit of a clown — expect to laugh at least once a day
Going-home day
