Mochi is a Coton de Tulear from Kim's Pups in Korea who now lives in Hong Kong ๐ญ๐ฐ. This is the whole trip, start to finish โ spring in Seoul, the paperwork, a late-night Korean Air flight, and the first hug on the other side. ๐พ

Spring in Seoul ๐ธ
Before any of the travel started, Mochi got to enjoy the best time of year in Korea. On April 1st the cherry blossoms were out, and Mochi spent the afternoon riding on a shoulder, tongue out, taking it all in.
A few evenings earlier, Mochi posed on the garden rocks like a tiny cotton cloud. That fluffy, cotton-like coat is exactly where the breed gets its name โ coton means cotton in French.
Health check before flying ๐
On April 20th we took Mochi in for the export health check. Every country has its own rules for bringing a puppy in, and we handle the paperwork side so the family doesn't have to. For Hong Kong, puppies can fly from 5 months old.
Night flight on Korean Air ๐โ๏ธ
Flight day started just after 1 a.m. Mochi rode to the airport in a travel crate, peeking out the window like this was all perfectly normal.
By 2 a.m. we were at the Korean Air cargo terminal. Mochi's crate was packed with a few favourite toys, and off went one very calm little Coton de Tulear to Hong Kong.

A few hours later, Mochi's new family was there to meet the flight. These videos were sent to us that same day โ the very first minutes together.
Settling into the new home ๐
About a week later the photos started coming in. Belly up on the sofa between the cushions. A little Coton sitting in the middle of the living room like it owns the place (it does now).

Growing up ๐
In June we got a message that made our whole day: โHi Jae! How r u these days โบ๏ธ?โ โ followed by four new photos of Mochi. The puppy fluff was filling out into a proper Coton coat.
And in September, fresh from the groomer, with a caption in Cantonese: โไฝขไฟๅช็็ผ็ ๐โ โ โIs Mochi sleepy?โ ๐
