Basic Care Tips: Everything You Need to Know
1. Keeping Those Floppy Ears Clean
Just like we clean our ears, dogs need their ears cleaned too!
But here's something interesting: dogs' ears actually clean themselves most of the time.
We only need to help when they get really dirty.
What You'll Need:
- Dog ear cleaner (make sure it's made specially for dogs!)
- Soft cotton pads or gauze (like the ones in your first-aid kit)
- Your dog's favorite treats
Follow These Easy Steps:
- First, put 4-5 drops of the ear cleaner inside your dog's ear
- Give the base of their ear a gentle massage (like giving them scratches!)
- Let them shake their head – it's like when you shake water out of your ears after swimming
- Wipe away any stuff that comes out with the cotton pad
